Is there something unique about yourself?
We think so. That's why we offer unique services to capture and preserve the moment. Everything from photo-illustrations, artistic lighting, period costume and our specialty, light painting. MindCanvas is one of the few portrait studios in the Southeast that specializes in light paintings.
This is a process where we light up the scenes using a specialized fiber optic light wand. It allows us to light up areas that traditional studio lights can't capture. The results are warm, glowing and soft. This is a great process for capturing classical poses, visual emotions and attitude.
The creative process starts long before the photo is ever taken and continues afterwards too. Our methods of output and printing are also unique. From custom printed photos and life-size posters, to photo glass etching, and specialty framed installations, you are guaranteed a work of art.
We are available to photograph journalistic weddings, bridal light paintings, classical portraits, candid children's shots, corporate and architectural needs, sporting events, and artistic sessions.
Michael Hawkins, principle photo-illustrator at MindCanvas, graduated with an BFA in 1985 with a concentration in photography, graphic design, sculpting, painting and art history. His work has been exhibited at various art shows and published in various magazines and newspapers. He was also filmed by the HGTV television crew for the show "That's Clever".
If you are interested in purchasing any of the prints, you may do so. Please understand that all photo and images are copyrighted and are not to be used for personal use, resell and/or marketing purposes unless permission is given.
